Automotive: Increasing Foot Traffic by 189%

When a potential client from the automotive industry reached out to us, we were eager to work with them because we knew we could help them reach their goals. After diving in and reviewing the clients abandoned accounts, our PPC team developed a strategy from the ground up.

The client’s goal was increase the foot traffic at their physical locations, while leveraging online advertising to create brand awareness within their industry and amongst their target customer base. With our strategy we aimed to drive conversions with as low CPC and CPL as possible.

 

How we did it

Our team implemented a mix of changes, which included prioritizing each vehicle model (instead of clumping products together), so we could understand and determining visitors intent, and pushed campaigns specific to driving brand awareness. This mix of strategy included:

  • Launch of one search campaign per car model.

  • Launch of a branded campaign.

  • Launch of a dealership campaign.

  • Launch of a competitor's campaign since they were bidding on the client's brand in a highly competitive market.

  • Launch of a buying intent campaign. This campaign included low funnel keywords that implied a purchase (such as “Price of a Nissan Altima” or “buy a Nissan”).

  • Utilized display, video & remarketing campaigns.

  • We linked the client's GMB (Google My Business) to the Google Ads account, which increased exposure and visibility of potential customers.

  • We created a Microsoft advertising account to reach more customers.

The results

Constant monitoring allowed our team to know when and where to make effective optimizations to the campaigns, which helpful us achieve great success for the client.
